Im looking for a man named Edwin Reid born abt 1933 and married muriel alexander on feb 6, 1958 and they had a son edwin kyle reid also in 1958. Their witnesses at the marriage were Bridie Lavelle and G A de Jager. Edwin Reid was a professional wrestler at the time of the marriage. They lived in Brixton metropolitan borough of Lambeth

I woukd like to know who Edwin's mother and father were and if he had any siblings

Muriel died in 1973 and edwin died in 1995

I see that the marriage record has his name as Edward D.

Scotland's People has a birth record for an Edward Docherty Reid born 1931.  Is this your Edward?

From what i know Edwin was born in Lambeth England he was Edwin David Reid
I heard he passed away in norfolk england and that he had other children

Edwin Reid a Wrestler is on two inward bound shipping lists from Canada

both times he gives a London address of 313, Brixton Road.
on the list of 14 September 1957 his date of birth is given as 11.12.932   Which I interpret as 11 Dec 1932
On the earlier (1954 list) his occupation is given as 'Side Gluer"  I have absolutely no idea what that might be !

However - I cannot see a birth that matches that.

Also - it is a different date from the 1995 Norwich death, well the one I can see anyway.    Day and Year are both different.

Added - in the 1954 list he says his country of last permanent residence was Canada.
Oh, on the 1957 list his passport is Canadian.  So.... perhaps he was born in Canada?

Ya it is strange i have a departure of canada in september 1957 and muriel went to england in december of 1957 and she married him in 1958 and her address at the time of marriage was astoria walk brixton. I would love to find out edwins parents names.  I know muriels because i am married to her son by her second husband.  I looked at the marriage certificate again and it says his dads name was David and he was a builders painters and decorators but it says nothing about Edwins mother or her maiden name which our canadian marriage certificates say

There is a tree on Ancestry which has them both born 1932, Surrey and both deaths in Norfolk.
