Ayres/Louder Croydon, Surrey UK

I'm trying to find information on my husbands Gt Grandfather, Walter Louder. What I know so far: Walter was born in Croydon, Surrey in 1904, I have found his birth record and his mother's maiden name is Ayres. I do not know the first names of his mother and father but I believe they were Romany Gypsies. On the 1911 census Walter was living at Batts Farm, Godstone, Surrey with a Andrew Louder previously Stacey and a Mary Ann Gardner but I believe they are not Walter's parents. Walter married Jane Shoebridge in 1930 and had William, Henry, Martha, Jack, Leonard, Charlie and Emily. Any information would be much appreciated.

I know it states on the 1911 Census that Walter is Andrew's son but I believe that he isn't. I have baptism records for Emily b. 1895, Leonard b. 1898 and Albert b. 1906. I have a found birth records for Walter, mother's maiden name Ayres and Lucy, mother's maiden name Smith but no baptism record which makes me think they both could be Andrew's nephew and niece or grandson and granddaughter also I cannot find anything on Charles b. 1907. Andrew and Mary Ann already had a son named Charles b. 1889, Jack/John b. 1886 and William b. 1883 who are listed on the 1901 census.

The 1911 census should show how many children born to the marriage of Andrew and his wife.
On occasions they have been filled in wrong and list 'dead' children.

Have you accounted for all of the births and deaths

ADDED I do think that you need to purchase your Walters birth certificate to clarify who is named as his parents

Yes I have found him on the 1881 Census. I believe he is not the father of Walter Louder, who is my person of interest.

You definitely need that Birth Certificate!
Using the GRO's own website (https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates) it will cost £7 for a PDF version.
You do need to register, but after that the searches are free to use.
