Hello

Yes, Margaret is showing as born in Co Galway in the 1911 census. A few of the Ancestry Costellos say they are from Galway but not which part. The closest match in cms is 50.

I know Margaret shows Galway but as you say difficult to find her birth. Have you found anything with other shared names?

With my matches and my husband’s, I have looked at Civil records and parish records to try to match people. I have had a little success but am still cautious.

The problem with mine is I have many illegitimates, so I have lots of unknowns. Also I'm a bit thick with the whole DNA thing!

Maybe married overseas, such as Gibraltar?  Was he in the army?  Also check if there are any children and where their first born was registered.  Grasping at straws, I know.

I have seen marriages in US with Irish couples - or England. I have had a quick look but can’t see anything nor any snippets in newspapers.
