Welcome to rootschat bluemoon1923.  :)

A lot of people enquire about service numbers because they want to order a service record. If this is the case with you, you can apply for a service record without a service number. The number will obviously be included on the record.  :)

I'm sure others will be able to assist you with what you have already provided.

Added: I just realised I neglected to check and just assumed this is a British service number. Is this the case?

I believe he was in the territorials from 1923 to 1927, trying to find out if he served in ww2.
Many thanks for your help, much appreciated.

He served in the Royal Artillery in that 1920s period but doesn't re-appear in the RA attestations later so that random shot didn't work.

Ruskie's advice should be followed.  WW2 records are not on line so the only way to find out is to apply for his records, if they are not there then MOD should return the fee.

PS  The WW2 T A Warburton listed on Forces War Records is Thomas Arthur and they don't have his records.
I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
