Ancestry message system working??
« on: Monday 11 March 19 09:44 GMT (UK) »
I have had no reply to messages I have sent to several people since 7th March - several conversations that seemed to be going along steadily coming to an abrupt halt - has anyone else had an unexpected lack of responses...messages lost in the ether ????

I sent one last Friday to someone who I've corresponded with frequently but not heard anything so far, which is strange.

Sounds suspicious Gadget! I did get a warning pop up at one point saying they had trouble sending a message, but it would definitely be sent, don't worry, or something along those lines. Perhaps the tinkering with the new BETA 'features' has infected the message system  ::).

I've just had to delete all my Ancestry cookies to get the home pages (main sites and DNA ) to work. Firefox is usually the one that always works and it was odd with that browser.

Something very odd is going on. Maybe they were trying to do too much with their available resources  :-\

Because of this thread I logged in, there was a Message there but I wasn't notified about it!

You could ask about notifications on the How to Use board.

Could be with Thrulines and the common ancestors coming in, there's been a huge increase in people trying to contact each other and the message system has fallen over  :-\?
