We have a Richard young who married Lettice Holden

William young was the father of Richard  1858 coleford, he married Sarah Ann ?? B 1860 Preston, Lancashire

His birth year is given as 1828 chepstow, Monmouthshire

Can any one please help determine who his parents were ??

Sarah Ann b 1860 Preston Lancs but son Richard b 1858??  1861 shows she was b 1828 Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire

You have a post asking about Williams parentage on the Gloucs board in which you say that William was b Monmouthshire.  As posted - I have asked the moderator to move that post to the Monmouth board

Posting on multiple boards causes a lot of wasted time and effort.  If William was b Chepstow then your request re his parentage is appropriate to the Monmouth board

To check for Sarah's maiden name - you first check freebmd for a birth for any of their children

Births June qtr  1859
Young    Lavinia Bess    Monmouth    11a   26

Using the info above you then use GRO online to look for mothers maiden name
