Margaret Stewart from Carricknamart, Raymoghy, Donegal
« on: Wednesday 13 March 19 01:28 GMT (UK) »
Can someone advise me where I can find  records for a Margaret Stewart's family, my g grandfather’s older sister.  I have the following information

James Stewart, her husband lived in  Carricknamart. Raymoghy, Donegal, recorded in 1864. Griffiths Valuation

Margaret Stewart from Drumclamph, Tyrone married James Stewart a widower from Carricknamart, Donegal in the Presbyterian Church, Ardstraw on 14 May 1875 when she was 23 years old.  marriage certificate on  www.irishgenealogy

Will of James Stewart late of Carricknamart Co Donegal. Farmer deceased who died 3 Apr 1883 at same place was proved at Londonderry by John Stewart of Mondooey in said County Farmer one of the Executors.  The will records that James had 4 children Charles, John, Susan and Sarah Jane.  there is a request for an advert to be placed as John his son is missing.

I cannot locate a death cert for James Stewart or birth certificates for the 4 children.  They are more likely to belong to the first wife of James. Or anything related to the search for his son John

Margaret is living on her own at Carricknamart, Donegal in both census

Looks like Registrar only entered Unknown STEWART   in the Index

So you need to check what is on the actual Certs for these Unknown STEWARTs

Well if he died age 83 in 1883 his children were probably before he married a 23 y.o. when he was 75!
