Burial or Otherwise
« on: Wednesday 13 March 19 13:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

My G Grandfather Valentine Connolly died in Manchester, May 1948 (born 1872). So far, I have been unsuccessful in tracing his burial (or otherwise) and would appreciate any help that you may provide.

Regards,
Paul
I lived in Ardwick, Manchester in the early 1960s as a small child and much travelling of the world has now led me to want to know more about my roots. Carter, Beckwith, Connolly, Heron and Kelly are all names that form part of my family tree.

Hi, try
https://www.deceasedonline.com/servlet/GSDOSearch
I searched with his name and year of death there are 29, 28 are in Scotland and this one in Lancashire. It's £2.00 to see the headstone.

If he was Catholic try St Joseph's Cemetery Moston. There records are not online

Thanks DCB,

In that one small message you have managed to confirm so much of what was previously just hearsay. Specifically, about where he worked and lived at time of death.

Thanks again.
