Terri1202, new Rootschatters are unable to send Personal Messages until they have posted three times, so if you reply to this you will then be able to send a PM to Louise. You will need to do this to pass on your email address to her as the forum rules do not allow them to be shown on the forum, the moderator will remove it.

Good luck with your search and sincere condolences on the loss of your nephew.

Hi, I'm sorry for the delay in replying. I don't communicate via e-mails, as I'm scared of viruses, but I'm happy to use the personal messages or the forum. All the information I have on Jack Daykin is provided on this thread, on this web-site, but I do have information on the Daykin (Askrigg) ancestry.  If you give me more details on George Daykin, e.g his birth date, whom he married, his parentage, etc, if you have it, I will see if it backs into my Daykin's.  I won't be able to answer this week as I'm decorating and all my family history files are on a pile, under dust sheets, somewhere, but I will get back to you as soon as I have finished.
Please accept my condolences for the death of your Jack. I read the link you sent, he sounded a lovely person.
I hope I can help you with your family history,
Louise
