GIF file
« on: Thursday 14 March 19 16:01 GMT (UK) »
I saved a page from an online newspaper site, it saved in GIF file, there was no option except BITMAP.
I can`t  open it with any programme.
Other pages saved from different sites are in JPG.

Can anyone help please.  I`m pretty sure I`ve saved in JPG from the same site before so can`t understand why it`s changed .  ???

I use IrfanView which will open almost any type of picture or graphic.

You can't live without IrfanView, it is essential.  It's nearly as good as a free lunch.  It's a Swiss army knife for anything to do with images.

Thanks. For some reason the same page is able to be saved in JPG now, I`m wondering if it`s because I  choose the "article" from the search results , rather than the whole page.
I will take a look at Irfan though.
