The GRO has the civil birth registration of -
Arabella Edwards, Jun Qtr 1838, reg.district Holywell, 27  213 - no mother's maiden name

1838 does not fit Arabella's age given on various census - worth further checking, if only to rule out?

This one seems to appear separately aged 13 in 1851, in Halkin, Holywell (also there in 1841).

This is the inscription in Arabella’s grave. Husband Joseph Phillips named first.

In loving memory of Joseph Phillips who died December 18th 1895 age 68 years
Also Arabella wife of the above who died April 2nd 1916 age 81 years

Do you have the marriage certificate for Arabella & Joseph as that should name her father

I have only seen this thread this morning.From what I have seen and my knowledge of the areas concerned I would immediately rule out the 1838 Birth.That having been said,as the 1855 Marriage is given as a "Civil Marriage" this means that there will be no Marriage Records for anyone to look up as it was a Non-Church Marriage.So as other people have said to make any further progress it is essential that you buy the 1855 Marriage Certificate.
