There are records...
Add  - and 1850s/60s.

I don't think this is so - FindMyPast has none of the Llanberis parish marriages between 1791 and 1879.

Bodedern, Heneglwys, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll.
Anglesey - Jones:
Llanfaethlu, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll, Rhoscolyn.
Anglesey - Parry:Llanfair-yn-Neubwll.
Anglesey - Lewis:Llanbadrig.
Anglesey - Willins & Tyran/Tyrer

Caernarvonshire - Evans and Lewis:Llanberis.

Denbighshire - Jenkins:Llandynan, Llantysilio, Cerrigydrudion.

Hi
If you've got one Surname or Forename, go to FreeREG , enter a name, first & last year 1879, county (Wales, Caernarfonshire), place (Llanberis, Caernarfonshire), record type Marriage, tick Name Soundex, then SEARCH.
I've done that using some of the most common surnames, and it brings a number of marriages up. It doesn't give all the info that you'd get from the Parish Register. Gives Place Name, Church Name, Bride & Groom names, and in some cases Age.

I have the impression that Sharron is wanting to see a certificate rather than an index.

Dragon - I'll check back again but I did see some last night  ****

****Add - The early ones were for residence of one of the parties - quite a few in Llanddeiniolen but one of the parties residence was Llanberis. I looked at Banns as well as marriages.

Ironically,  about 15-16 years ago, I transcribed most of the Caernarfonshire records for the North Wales BMD !

Family search are showing two marriages taking place in Llanberis in May 1879. The link to FindMyPast is coming up as an error.  I think Sharron is wanting to see the marriage cert  of one of these.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.  Yes, I really wanted the picture of the marriage entry showing the parents names and occupations.  That’s really the only way I can tell if they are the correct people.

I was looking at the Samuel Davies record on Familysearch married in May 1879.  I found it on the GRO website but they typically take a round 3-4 weeks to arrive here in the US from the despatch date and I’ve had several get lost in the mail.  So I try to avoid that avenue!   But I have to say...I do prefer the original church record if possible.

Anyway, thanks again for all the replies.  You’re all very helpful.

Hi
Looking at the picture of the page with the first record on Find my Past, in 1880, it's page 114. You can see in the picture that there a lot of previous pages still in the Register. The Register should be at Caernarvon Archives. I intend going there some time next week; it's only open Wed. - Fri. I want to look up some maritime and Monument Inscriptions (MIs) records. If the Register is there I'll get a copy of the page.
