1881 & 1891 Census for Mynyddyslwyn
« on: Saturday 16 March 19 12:08 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help and explain to me about Mynyddyslwyn as I no longer have access to f.H. records.

I have relatives living at Milston Row in 1881 next to the Bakers Arms and Ponds Row 1891 both census say Mynyddyslwyn.
Is this an area or a village because they say the children are born in Cwmcarn & Pontywaun despite the name Mynyddyslwyn on both census.

I would also like to know if the streets still exist

Thanks

Have a look at the parish of Mynyddyslwyn on this Genuki page

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MON/Mynyddyslwyn

If you zoom on the bottom right hand side of map you should find Cwmcarn & Pontywaun  which were within the parish of Mynyddyslwyn .   Pond Row shows on the map at max magnification

Thanks Kay

I have been looking at various maps all day and did not get to that. Will do as suggested now.
