Looking for an Address
« on: Monday 18 March 19 21:56 GMT (UK) »
Would like to write a letter to my Mum's Cousin in the hope that she may have Family information on her family which would help my brick wall.
As she was born in 1932 i am  assuming she is still alive.
My Mum passed in 2009 and i believe this is the last contact she has had with my family here in New Zealand. I have been through all my mum's paper's and can not find an address.
Hoping someone can find an address for her and her son.
I believe she lived in Cheshire.
If anyone can help i will P.M. the names
Thanking you in advance.
Carol

Hi

Have you tried www.192.com which is an electoral roll search?

Assuming they may have their telephone with BT you could try the Directory search at

www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

Thank you CaroleW.
That helped a lot. Recognized  the address as soon as i saw it. At the moment can not get Son's address as he is unlisted and i have to upgrade with 192.com and not doing that just for 1 address.

Shall write a letter this afternoon. So pleased her and husband still alive

Many thanks from one Carol to another Carole

Carol, as you know the address and son's name, have to checked to see if they are on facebook or if there is mention of them online anywhere?

I am not suggesting that you do not write the letter (we all love receiving letters), but this may be a quicker/alternative way to contact them?

If you do write the letter include your email address in case they are happy to communicate this way.  :)

Best of luck.

I was going to write a letter as they are both in their late 80's. Now thinking of ringing in the weekend. My provider here has some great rates that will not break the bank.
The son however would be a similar age to me so may try Face book and see if i can make contact that way first.

Thank you for advice. Much appreciated.

My father was born in 1931 and he's always checking his email.  ;D ;)

Good luck whatever contact method you try.  :)

My Dad was born in Jan 1930 (not with us any longer). He gave me his old computer in the mid 90's so i could e-mail him instead of ringing or writing a letter as i lived a couple hundred miles away. He even taught me how to use Skype and had his own Facebook page so him and Mum could keep in touch with the family.

No Luck on F.B for the son.

That's funny Carol - my Dad uses Skype and has Facebook (I don't).
