Thomas Campbell and Prudence Elizabeth Kate Hubbard appear to have married in 1847, so should be around somewhere.

Of course the trade shows they had an itinerant lifestyle so they may have been missed completely.
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.

With a lifestyle like that, if they were found by an enumerator and given a form, it is likely that they would have moved on come collection time. Birth locations show they traded along a fair bit of the country.

Incidentally, Brede, where one of the children was born, is the location for a Thomas Campbell who I initially thought might fit, as he was the right age, and a blacksmith, a related occupation. However he is still at home, unmarried, in 1861. Might he be a cousin of some sort?
