       Thank you both very much for keeping the pot boiling. I now need to digest all this new detail.
       It may help to have a bit of background. The Hornblows in Thatcham worked as blacksmiths, inn-keepers, weavers , wagoners etc. The inventory we are working on , so far, doesn't seem to tie up with blacksmiths or weavers. Pots, flaggons, barrels, lots of plates & candle sticks suggest perhaps as being part of an inn.

Another chunk of the same inventory. Thankfully , the lines are getting shorter. Some words are pretty clear but the rest could be in a foreign language. Thanks for any help. T

Thank you horselydown86. Few words to ponder over but much progress being made by you all.
The following is the last bit of the inventory save for the odd word which has escaped attention so far. T

Few words to ponder over.........

Do you think 'sondre' could be 'sundry' chairs?

'Gined sstoelles' - joined stools?  (thanks to HD for 'joined' - I'd never have got that)

bollekes = bullocks

Well done. Nearly complete.
Joined stools seems to be a possibility. i.e. a bench?
Line 32. Could haras be a harrow? My Dictionary of Archaic Words is clearly not archaic enough! It hasn't helped in any of these inventory items.
Line 16, somehow, wasn't scrutinised. See attached.
Then it can be put to ' fetheree beddee'
Many, many thanks to all who have helped, but don't go away. After a break I will return with the  administration bond. Toby.
