Belfast RC School
« on: Wednesday 20 March 19 00:35 GMT (UK) »
I'd like to find out if Michael Smith born 1886 in England, attended Belfast RC school some time around 1895. Any suggestions on how I can find any records please?
Ireland: Mayo - O'Malley, Malley, Currigan, Lynchacan. Antrim - McAuley. Louth - Byrne. Down - Smith.

England: Lancashire - O'Malley, McCauley, Foster.

You've posted on the wrong board- just click on 'report to moderator' and ask for your topic to be moved from Completed board to ANTRIM board.

There were probably lots of Catholic schools in Belfast or he could have been in an industrial school, etc. PRONI have lots of school records (details of holding can be searching in their e-catalogue but the records are not online) but without the name of a school it will be difficult to even start searching.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thank you aghadowey. I have no other information on the school he attended and if no info is available online then I'm at an impasse.
