Norman V Smith letter - cannot read who he is referring to in P.S.
« on: Wednesday 20 March 19 22:46 GMT (UK) »
Norman V Smith sent his sister a couple of letters which I received when she died.  This letter is very clear but cannot read the PS in the back of the last page.  Can anyone help?

Forgot to mention this is a letter sent in July 1942 to my Aunt Hattie in Canada from the UK.  It was wartime and he was an enlisted man.  Sorry about that.

In my opinion it's:
"I wrote wes (Wes not capitalized) but have not heard from him yet. "

The W and E from wrote are a match to the W and E in "WROTE". The E is not an I as he dotted the I in "HIM".

The image provided makes it easier to read.

My two cents.

I just like to do photo restores.

Thank you Dr. Dude. I also think it says once, but was unsure.  It doesn't help that he wrote on the back of the last page of a letter to my Aunt in 1942 and of course the pages have started to bleed through.  Appreciate your help.

I think its says "wes", the 'o'nce doesn't look anything like the 'o' in wrote.
Was there a brother, uncle, cousin or friend named Wes?

I tried to post you a whole page of his letter but unfortunately it was too large.  I thought if you could see more of his writing you might agree what it says.
