Bates. Looking for parents

Ian Casey Bates was born 13 Apr 1922 (think Brisbane) and died 9 Jan 2013 (Hervey Bay). He married Kathleen Savage Robertson 1945. She is also deceased.

I am looking for Ian Casey Bates parents. I have no other information.

This link suggests Ian Casey Bates was born to Edward (Ned) Bates and Hanna Bates (born Casey).
