McDonnell of Mallow 1750 - 1820
« on: Thursday 21 March 19 11:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Rachael McDONNELL (my 4 x Great Grandmother) married Joel Watson on 18th October 1811 in the parish of Mallow, County Cork.

Joel was a soldier in the 20th Regiment of Infantry.

I did find one entry as above but no further information.

Wondering if anyone could help with this.

Children as follows: -

I have some descendant information from the above but I do not have any antecedent information about Rachael's parents or other family.

Maybe they weren't R.C

That is very possible and something I will have to try and resolve. Will have to return to Belper records to see if baptisms were protestant.

The record of Joel's marriage to Ann Lum names his father as Joseph. (Family Search)
How about this as a possibility for the marriage of his parents?
29 Dec 1772. Joseph Watson /Clementine Lesson. Duffield

Hi, Sorry if I have been misleading, I do have quite a bit of ancestral history for Joel (several generations back) but my main point of interest at this time is the Irish side of my ancestry. This is the area that is sadly lacking.
I will be visiting Ireland in September and was hoping to get a bit more info before my visit. Thanks Mel
