James & Ann Sutton nee Coombs

James Sutton born Sep Q 1780 in Frome married Ann Coombs 15 Nov 1802 St. John the Baptist Frome, Somerset; no other info for Ann Coombs.

When my findings are correct they had the following children;

1)   Sarah Ann Sutton baptised 3 Dec 1803 Frome
2)   James Sutton baptised 1 Aug 1807 Frome
3)   Jonah Sutton baptised 10 Feb 1810 Frome
4)   Mary Sutton baptised 24 Jul 1813 Frome


Can anyone find more details for me about Ann Coombs and the children if possible?

I thought 3) would be the easiest but no there is another Jonah around with different parents (born several years later than yours) and it's him that is easy to find on census not yours 

Onto the next one.

There is a baptism in Mells, about 3 or so miles from Frome, for Ann Coombs 27 December 1781 parents John and Mary

I Know it's like James, George, John and Elizabeth which are common first names in the Sutton family.

Hi There

Ive just been looking at the images of Frome St John registers page by page from NOV 1800 - NOV 1803 & cant find Ann Coombs mentioned _ the only Ann baptised here in NOV 1802 is Ann Harvey 27NOV1802.  I don't know where you found this baptism date as Im damned if I can

pity I was hoping the witnesses would give a clue to the fathers names or even some relative
