Joseph McKevitt - Widnes

Seeking any information on Joseph McKevitt, the second husband of my great aunt, Susan Alexander (nee Crompton).  They married in 1921, and Joseph died in Dec. 1940. Other than that we know absolutely nothing about him!

Age at death is 67, so born around 1873ish

Who does he name as his father on his marriage cert to Susan?

Do you know Susan's exact date of birth?

If so, you can rule this couple from the 1939 register in or out!

Cant read!!! dob 20 Aug 1876  Unpaid domestic duties


The wife's name is hard to make out, it could be Susan, comparing the first letter to other S's on the page ….. maybe...

1939 looks good as there is a Donald Alexander b.1911 living with the Mc Kevitt's, who is the son from Susan's first marriage.

Now, that's interesting, lizdb. I have Susan's dob as c.1877, but not more than an hour ago I came across an old address book having a D. Alexander at 16 Belvoir Rd. Alexander was the name of Susan's first husband,

You are right, lizdb,  Frank Donald Alexander was killed in action in the Middle East in 1941. I am pursuing other avenues to learn of the fate of his father (Robert), but  will also look into Joseph  McK.
