Well spotted heywood, so guess if living in same street must have been related. Genealiza thank you for the migration record, actually doesn't say born Kent but living in Old Kent Rd.
So it seems that Eleanor/Ellen married Wm Tofield but was she married before to a Bayliss? She seems to have been frugal with the truth especially as was a spinster at married to Wm and at migration!

1841 730.  Fol. 16 pg 24
Chapel Street Westminster

Ann Kealey 55 yrs nurse
Ellen Baylis 30 yrs F S
Ann Healey 15 yrs F S

All born in county

Kealey should read Healey.

Do you think this is your family? Where do you have John and Anne in 1841?

There is a death for William Bayliss in 1939.

That seems to tie in all the names Bayliss......Tofield......and Healey/ Healy.

As for claiming spinster on marriage to Tofield and then again on passage to U.S she may have just said unmarried. I have an Manchester that claimed he was a bachelor when he married his dead wife's sister and it was in the same church ....same vicar...( the marriage was illegal at the time).

I couldn't find John and Ann Healey at 1841, I think they split up and she stayed in London whilst he returned to Winslow as he passed away there in 1848. It's a very good find heywood as they had 3 daughter's called Ann, 2 passed away but I didn't know about the 3rd one so looks as though you've found her in 1841 with her mother and sister.
The marriage date and passing for Wm Bayliss looks good too.
Whilst researching Wm Tofield, I found him in 1841 at Stewkley living with some older Healeys' so that makes sense too.

There is this entry which looks likely to be John

1841 51/2/1

John Harley (transcribed as) 55 yrs Shoemaker

It looks more like Hailey on the page.

He is in the Workhouse in Winslow

Thank you again heywood for helping me to complete the jigsaw. I found Wm Bayliss's burial and death date on Anc, he was only 33 so bc1806 -they didn't last long in those days did they?

This is interesting especially the cost and the journey in 1854 so Ellen’s would have been similar.
