Fixed my link for Thomas' death in Reply #8; I didn't realize it was not working.

What is the relationship between Thomas William and William Steele?  (I'm just curious, as they both have William in their names?)

Excellent findings, Sandra!  You never cease to amaze!

Hi guys

Bbart, Thomas and William are cousins. William's grandfather Richard was the brother of Thomas's father, also named Thomas. The reason why William is in both names is because Thomas and William's ancestor was named William, grandfather and great grandfather to Thomas and William respectively.

Excellent finds Sandra, you once again come up on top and as always I greatly appreciate the help, from you and everyone on this site

so William and Constance married in 1946, so I assume then that their two children W and B were born shortly after. They would therefore be in their 70s if they are still alive today.

From the obituaries and articles Sandra found, it looks like Thomas and Ruth have descendants living today.

Would be interesting to know if W and B married and have descendants still in Sechelt today.

By the way, due to laws on privacy, I haven't mentioned William and Constance's children by name. They are mentioned in William Gibson Steele's obituary.

Interestingly, these two branches of the family are not the only Steeles in Canada, other branches live there too, such a beautiful country
