Jane Pridham (1830), born Northam, Devon, England
« on: Sunday 24 March 19 13:59 GMT (UK) »
She is recorded as Grand-daughter on 1851 along with a daughter aged 2 in 1851.  Grandparents are John and Mary Hearn.  All Northam families.  I cannot find either a birth for Jane (although I can find a burial in 1859).  Her daughter, Mary A. born 1849 Northam, appears in the 1861 as Grand-daughter again!  Trying to piece together this part of the family tree.  Any help appreciated.

Her burial record, 2nd August 1859,  gives a birth year of 1828.

There is a burial record for a Mary Ann Pridham, 13th January 1875, aged 26 at Northam.

 Hi
John and Mary Hearn appear to be at the same address in 1841  Cross St Northam.
with them there is a Jane Lemon aged 10.
There is a marriage in June 27th 1848 Northam
Henry Pridam and Jane Lemon, both minors from Appledore and Northam.
Henry is a mariner and his father Daniel, servant
Janes father is Robert Lemon  ,mariner

One of the witnesses surnames is Lewis and I think there was a Lewis living with the family in 1851.

There are Banns dated 15th July 1827 for a Robert Lemon and Jane HearnBideford, witnesses W Taylor and George Ellis.

Have now thoroughly confused myself as to possible relationships between Jane and John and Mary Hearns!
Possibly I am just making things fit :)

Thank you everyone.  It all helps, think I had confused myself going around in circles.  This is all coming about because I am pretty certain I am missing some children from the tree, as there is a big gap, but can't find them.  I know think that one of John and Mary Hearns daughter's married a Leman/Lemon.  I am guessing at this stage, but as the child was Jane, that it was possibly Jane Hearn (1807) married James Lemon/Leman.  Jane Leman/Lemon was then born, 1828, then she married Henry Pridham and it is their daughter that is Mary Ann.  Now to work out if it was Jane Hearn to Mr. Lemon/Leman or if it is one of the mysterious children between the years of 1807 and 1815 that married Mr. Lemon/Leman.  Another reason for me thinking Jane, is that she died in 1833 according to monumental inscriptions for Northam, and I can no longer find her in any census returns.

There is a parish marriage record
Banns
Robert Lemon and Jane Hearn 15th July 1827 which would fit with Robert as father on Jane jnrs marriage.
Also  Bap Dec 29 1807 Northam
Jane dau of John and Mary Hearn

Possibly Robert Lemon married again in 1834 to Mary Vaggers.
