Oh, yes yes yes.  This will be her.  She had a friend Petersen and there on the previous page are three Petersen young ladies.  Also she had some interaction with a Larsen in 1874 - someone assaulted someone - and so there are the three ladies on the same ship.  I am so excited.  How wonderful.  Can't thank you enough.

Have obtained the ship 'Libra' she left on from Hamburg.  Her last address was Vivild, Denmark. Was with several others from Vivild.

Have you noticed they have "m" instead of "f" for female.  I have alterted and asked that they change the database record, but say that they can't do it - just that they will make a note of it.

Well, her name is a bit of a conundrum but because truly believe that the "E" may have been anglicized to mean 'Amelia'.  She always used the name Caroline or Corlina (in some cases) Her intentions to marry also telly well with this arrival on Halcione, and other info as well.  So pretty darn sure this is her.  Will keep an open mind, and will continue looking for any other updates.

Her intentions to marry in 1875 said she had been in the country 18 months.  So that tallys as well.

It's the only 'Fransen' or 'Frandsen' that is found within that timeframe, and the name is so easily manipulated in English.  I think it is definitely her - but as I said will keep an open mind.

Hi ... I agree - seems most likely to be the Amelia Carolina/Caroline, you seek.    ;)

Was really just alerting you to the  "other records" - because of course there can be errors in spelling of names etc.  (particularly foreign names).   But I see you are "on to that".   ;D

And I'd agree the use of "Emilia / Emillie / Emily" (however spelled) was often substituted for "Amelia / Amelie" etc.
