Wow, thank you to all of you for finding so much so quickly.  I was obviously not looking in the right places!

JJen - it is odd that Ann is missing from that 1841 entry because it does look like the family - the age of the oldest child fits the marriage date.  Is this info from the transcription or the original?  Perhaps Ann is on the original document but her name wasn't transcribed?
Another question JJen - where did you see the marriage cert please?

Also JJen, thanks for the tip about the GRO - I hadn't realised the mother's maiden name is shown there now. I will look and see if there were more children after Ann.

Interesting that Samuel the father was lodging in another household too, and the son John.  Good call looking for other Warrens in Stanton.  I wonder why the family split up and lodged with different households?

Thanks for looking JJen.  How odd.  Wonder if she was staying with a relative - grandparents Robins or Warren, or if an older sister/brother was married, she might have been with them.

I haven't got very far looking for Ann Warren as a 3 year old in the 1841 census.  Assuming she was not just missed off the list with her parents, I thought she might have been wrongly recorded with the surname of whichever household she might have been in.

I looked at the 1841 census for her older sister, but she was in service, so not with her own family. I've tried searching for Ann with no surname, just on birth year plus/minus 1 year and born in Wiltshire but that throws up so many results that it'll keep me busy for years.

Grandparents could be most likely but I'm not really confident that I have her grandparent Warren forenames correct nor grandparent Robins forenames - as there are so many Warrens and Robins in the area.  So I'll have to delve a bit deeper before looking more into the possibility of finding her.  I know her father Samuel Warren was born in Crudwell, Wilts in 1803ish so that is something to go on.  I think parish registers are the way to go.

As for 1861, that is a mystery.  I suppose not all records have been transcribed correctly and some may be missing from the geneaology sites altogether.

Thanks for all your help with this.

I will now move to another part of the family tree as I can't see any way forward with this query.  I particularly wanted Ann Warren on the 1841 census so I could post the details on Lost Cousins website which only takes 1841, 1881 and 1911 census info.

I am now looking at Ann Warren's parents details, mostly in Wiltshire, but I can't find their marriage so will post the query/details on the Gloucestershire look up to avoid duplication here.
