Could any kind person help me find the parents of Michael Harold Webster and also the marriage of Michael in 1939. The mother's surname was Bell. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

An Aysgarth & Wensleydale League Footballer , Mr Michael Harold Webster , of Thoralby Aysgarth , was married at St Andrew's Aysgarth on Saturday , to Miss Eva Pratt , daughter of Mr & Mrs Robert Pratt of Grangetown . Miss Pratt has lived in Aysgarth for some time.
Bridesmaids Miss Betty Webster , siste of the groom , & Miss Nancy Pratt. Richard Haw of West Burton , best man.

No mention of Groom's parents.

Michael Harold's sister ,Betty A Webster , mmn Bell , was born in 1915 , birth registered in Skipton. You can find her on the 1939 Register , ( not allowed to give the details ) in Aysgarth with 2 Websters who are single, possibly an aunt and uncle. This might help you to trace the family without resorting to buying certificates.

Looking for a possible marriage for Bell / Webster I found Banns for the following :

Robert Metcalfe Webster of this p and Sarah Bell of p of Haddon/Haddem ? Jan/Feb 1914 Aysgarth.

I cannot see an actual marriage or registration for the above.

An ancestry tree has Robert Michael Metcalfe Webster died 28 November 1918 in Kettlewell of Spanish  Flu and spouse Sarah , no surname given , died 26 December 1918 in Kettlewell of Spanish Flu.

There is a death registration for a Robert M Webster aged 36 - December quarter 1918 - Skipton District, but nothing for Sarah.

Robert Metcalfe Webster and Sarah Bell married in Scotland - 1914 Hoddom.

Robert Metcalfe Webster born 3/9/1882 Thoralby, Aysgarth (to Michael Webster and Ann Jane Metcalfe).  He died 28/11/1918 Kettlewell, Yorkshire - administration of his estate granted to his brother Michael Webster, grocer.   

Presumably Sarah Bell was Scottish - if you buy some credits for Scotlands People you can view the 1914 marriage certificate and this will state her age and both of her parents names.  Wonder what became of Sarah after Robert's death with 2 infant children.   The 2 children clearly remained in Yorkshire - possibly Sarah remarried.   Scottish census shows 2 possible candidates - Sarah Bell bc.1880 Hoddom, Dumfries, dau. of Robert and Mary and Sarah Bell bc.1882 Hoddom, Dumfries, dau. of Thomas and Elizabeth.
