John Doubleday & Mary Marriage c.1814
« on: Tuesday 02 April 19 18:53 BST (UK) »
Hello there

Can anyone help with a marriage please of a John Doubleday to a Mary about 1814.  He was born Pinchbeck about 1783 (this is also a missing baptism, but the family were non-conformist) and his wife Mary was born Swineshead about 1793.  They had children in Pinchbeck from 1816 through to 1835. At least two of the children Robert c 1818 and Jackson c 1823 had the middle name Love.

There was a couple married (twice as it happens) in Necton/Little Bilney in Norfolk in 1812, but they were having children in Norfolk at the same time as this couple were active in Lincolnshire.

Many thanks in advance for your help

This must be the marriage:

John Doubleday Love married Mary Jackson 15/8/1815 Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire

So the last name 'Love' dropped soon after the marriage although their first child baptised as John Doubleday Love 12/1/1816.

Mary Love married Robert Doubleday (Lic.) on 15/3/1786 Pinchbeck (both shown as widowed).   Looks like John was born prior to the marriage and this is presumably his baptism:

'A child' Love, baptised 6/3/1783 Pinchbeck, mother Mary Love.

Robert Doubleday married Ann White 13/6/1771 Semperingham, Lincs. - at least 2 children baptised in Pinchbeck and Ann bc.1750, bur.2/3/1781 Pinchbeck

Richard Love married Mary Cunnington 21/1/1774 Pinchbeck - Richard Love bc.1744, bur.5/5/1780  Pinchbeck.

Robert Doubleday bc.1737, bur.27/12/1809 - Mary Doubleday bc.1754, bur.23/7/1836, both at Pinchbeck.
