Looking for information on grandfather - Charles Henry Jones

Hi,
I am hoping someone could help or point me in the right direction.  I am currently looking for information on my grandfather who served during WW2.  However, we have no information only a few photos which show badges.

I think that he may have been in the Royal Artillery & was wondering if anyone could confirm this from the photo I have attached & any other information that you may be able to tell me.

One of the photos is of 3 men (grandfather is in the middle).  This photo was taken in Germany - the address on the back of the photograph was Hertha Trede, Hohenwestedt, Friedrichstr 31.

If anyone can offer help or advice on where I can get further information I would appreciate it.

My grandfather was called Charles Henry Jones & from Manchester.

WW2 records are still with the MOD. The form does ask for a service number but you do not need it but they will require a death certificate and £30.

You didn't attach the photo (although only the records that Rosie points you towards will give the whole story).  If his badge is like the ones on this link then he did serve in the Royal Artillery

PS  Hertha Trede looks like a German female name, living at 31 Friedrichstrasse in Hohenweststedt which is in Schleswig Holstein (Can be found on Google Earth - not the lady!).  Much of 21st Army Group ended the war in that part of Germany.

Thanks so much for that info - not sure why photos didn't attach - I've tried to attach to this post, fingers crossed it works.
I'll get in touch with MOD & see what info they can give us as we don't even have service number.
