Who did he marry?!

Hello!

I am researching William Stockwell who was born in Yorkshire 1823.

In 1851 he is listed as living with wife, Ann and daughter Harriet in Leeds where he worked as a Flyer & Cylinder Maker.

Tracing through the censuses i have found out he had more children but they seem too have different mother maiden names listed??

Dancy Stockwell b. 1855                               MMN - MAYALL
John William Stockwell b. 1858                      MMN - MAYALL


I found a marriage for a William Stockwell and Ann Shore in 1846 in which the occupation for both William and his father match but in 1861 Harriet is living with her grandmother - Ann MAYALL.

I thought maybe his first wife Ann SHORE may have died and he remarried a MAYALL but i cannot find any proof of that? Am i missing something?

1851 for Ann Stockwell gives her age as 33 and place of birth as Newton Yerth (Heath?) Lancashire
Other census have Oldham

That would make sense! I knew i was overthinking it!

Ann listed her father on her marriage certificate as John Shore an Engineer so sound like it was most probably a little fib or exaggeration.

A tree on Ancestry notes he married Ann Mayall in 1845 (I cannot find a record)
