Looking for information on this man.

I have no idea what year he was born or where.

In 1918 he married Lillie Ford (sometimes called Lily) born 1870 Bristol. On the 1939 census Lily is widowed living with her 2 brothers Samuel and Frederick in 16 Monk Rd Bristol.

Any help would be appreciated

The best way of knowing who George was is to purchase the marriage cert. The marriage in 1918 would make Lily's age at 48, quite old for a first marriage. Did they by any chance have any children?

I'll have a look for children.  As regarding a marriage I agree but will have to add it to my waiting list have certificates for direct line and so many otherwise still waiting. Oh to be wealthy?

It would appear that the above Lily is back with her mother Ann and siblings Samuel and Frederick on the 1911 and recorded under her maiden name.

Therefore I'm wondering if the marriage in 1918 is actually the correct one for Lily Ford b.1870 Bristol.

Agree with you j.j  the second marriage sounds promising especially if Lily is back with her mother Ann in 1911, looked at the original 1911 census and Lily still is classed a S but could be a error,

This could be the birth of Wilfred from the 1901 -

Sadly it looks as Wilfred John died  12 in 1903, explains why he was not with his mother in 1911 although he could be living away from home.  Cannot find him in 1901?
