I agree, we have to wait for a response from Madge2004 - otherwise we are just going to "muddy the pool" by offering alternatives.

If we are to be of assistance, then we need to have definitive information.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Watkinson/Hart
« Reply #28 on: Thursday 18 April 19 20:19 BST (UK) »
Good evening everyone,
I'm after some help after taking a wrong turn on my research. My grandmother is Lily Hart, her mother's maiden name is Watkinson. My grandmother Lily was born on 7th July 1908. ( I had followed another Hart family incorrectly). I'm now in the situation where I know absolutely nothing about her parents.
Can anyone help. They lived in the sculcoates area of  Hull

Many thanks Julie

Hi

There are 4 pages of information/replies on your other thread and if arthurk had not posted the link there would undoubtedly have been a great deal of wasted time and effort duplicating much of that info by members who were unaware of the previous thread.

Please read the replies.

If you didn't receive notification of those replies - you will need to check that you have enabled notifications when setting up your profile

Thanks for the help everyone. I didn't get notifications coming through but my partner has sorted it now. I had been given incorrect info originally from my father. Lily Harts mother was watkinson  the info given on this thread regarding the name watkinson seems more fitting. I bought a birth cert for Lily Hart for the 8/11/1908 and it's not my relative for certain . I have since found a newspaper article about the incorrect  Lily Hart and it isn't possible to be my relative. At the end of this month I shall be buying the marriage cert for Lily Hart and thomas Peterson which will tell me more.
