Have you looked for a death notice or obituary in "Bury Times"? Children, if there were any, may be mentioned.
Was there a will?
Electoral rolls 1960s-1970?

I wonder if Lillian was a widow and any children would be listed with her maiden name instead of Morris
Lillian's other surname was Chadwick. (From Lancashire BMD; there was an asterisk next to the index entry which is often an indication that a spouse had an alternative name.)
The marriage was at Brunswick Chapel Bury.
There is a will (1970) of an Alfred Smith of Bury Old Road, Heywood. Was that him? It's on Find a Will GOV.UK website.

I have looked on BMD and could find no children registered  so I am guessing that they never had any which is a shame
thank you all for assisting

I noticed the death of  Lillian Smith -  Birth 06/06/1915 - Death 09/1996 Bury  It may be worth searching on the 1939 Register for a Lilian with that birth date

Kay

Possible from probate index
SMITH   LILIAN
Probate 25 September 1996
9651913534
Date of death 07 August 1996
Grant and will   Manchester
