Missing parts of 1901 census in England?
« on: Friday 05 April 19 17:25 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know if the coverage for the 1901 census for England is complete or are some bits destroyed/missing/not available yet?

Many thanks.

Deal 1901 (Kent) is missing completely, and there's always the odd census-dodging family

I have tried looking before, but taken a bit of a sabbatical and hoping that more and more is available online but to no avail.

Agnes Stevenson born 1865, Great Bowden in Leicestershire. Died 1933. In service with a vicar in 1911 in St. Leonards, Sussex, in Foxton, Leicestershire in 1891, Little Bowden, Leicestershire in 1881 and in Great Bowden in 1871.

Brother William, born 1873 in Great Bowden relocated to Sussex as did their parents William and Jane. Wonder what made the family move to Sussex?

Just cant find Agnes in 1901...

Thanks for your help!

The more enthusiastically you look for somebody in a particular census, the more likely it is that that page is missing.

Given that she is working as a cook in 1911, have you followed this one up? I know the age is wrong, but stranger things have happened.

RG 13 / 1265 / 123 / 37

Stuart Road, Wood Green, Middlesex

in the household of  Sarah Tucker, a widow aged 66

Agnes Stevenson, servt, single, 29, Cook, Leicester.

Blimey. Thats amazing. Im only able to look at transcriptions on Familysearch as my Ancestry sub has expired.

But when I go my local library next I will check it out to see if the image has been mistranscribed. Does sound promising though! Im so excited!!!

Thank you!!!!
