I am researching Clara McMaster married Middleton c 1937. Clara was a hairdresser in Armadale and she had a daughter Anne Middleton. Clara’s father had a grocers shop. Any information, anyone? Please?

Clara's death is indexed with a mother's MS as Guthrie there is one marriage between a John Mcmaster and a Annie Holburn Guthrie in 1904 in Blythswood to confirm this is the correct parents you can check the marriage of Clara which was in 1938 in St Giles which will give you the names of her parents including her mother's MS

An Annie Guthrie or McMaster died in Armadale in 1960 age 85. Possibly the mother of Clara. Suggests the 1904 marriage found by Wendy2305 May be the correct one.

Annie Guthrie was Clara’s mother. Did you pick up on Clara’s death date and if she had any children? Thx.

Clara's husband in 1938 at St Giles  is William Middleton .
Clara is born Armdale in 1918 at Armadale.
Clara died age 60 at in 1978 at Bathgate and her mother's maiden name was Guthrie as previously said.
There is a possible death for William at Armadale 1969 age 65.
There is only Annie Guthrie MC Middleton born in Armadale in 1939 of course there could be other children born elsewhere.

There are family trees with photos online at Ancestry for John McMasters and his wife Annie Holborn Guthrie.
