Agnes Bulloch 12 yrs old 1841 census
« on: Saturday 06 April 19 07:55 BST (UK) »
Agnes was living at 55 Main St Gorbals, an orphan.  Her occupation was cotton spinner. Living with the McLauchlan family from Ireland.   She may have run away to London with William Young in 1843. She may have been indentured to Thompson's Mill and was wondering whether her absence would appear in the local newspapers?

How do you know this Agnes Bulloch was an orphan?   I note she was not born in Lanarkshire.

We noted the McLauchlan's were born in Ireland and the three children born in County.                   Yes, just noted Agnes says "not born in County".  Oh - but hopefully still Scotland.  The answer is not definitive enough, but I would read it as 'not born in County". You're right. Tks.
