Scribes Alcove

I haven't researched my Berkeley relatives for a long so went to use Scribes Alcove and it isn't there any more.  Anyone know what has happened to it please.

I presume you are referring to the website?

It would appear that the website no longer exists.

'You can still view the website using the Wayback Machine archive. Google Wayback and it will take you there. Search on http://www.scribes-alcove.co.uk and it will take you to a calendar with snap shots of the pages. It was last captured on 21/12/18. You will be able to navigate around the site and the links will work.'

I was indeed looking for the website.

What a shame it has been removed, it was so useful for people researching that area.  I wonder why it was taken down.

I have tried using the Google Wayback Machine but could not make head nor tail of it.  I will have to trawl through Ancestry in the hope that some of the information I want is there.

Thanks to you both for replying, I did wonder if it was the bad internet connection we have here but am glad it's not.
