Parents both died in Bedford. JJ left a will proved 1906

Samuel Brooks Ham born 10 January 1867 attended Harpur Trust Boys' Elementary School in Bedford from 4 May to 5 October 1875. Father John, 18 Silver Street.

John Samuel Brooks Ham's baptism in 1869 (St James, Piccadilly) gives his birth date as 7 January 1867.

That is much better and proves that he must have changed his surname at marriage or before, johnw and shaun. It's amazing how these relations changed their names to keep us searchers from finding them!
