Marshall Clerke sonne of Clement Clerke?

I think the names are written Mighell Clerke (variant of Michael?) and Clement Clerke.

Snip from CC's will, it is the only time he is mentioned.

Still not sure but agree Mighell is a possibility

I read that one as Michaell.

In your first snip, the third letter of the name is definitely g. Compare the g in geve in the last line of that snip? It has a flat top, typical of this hand.

I too came up with Mighell Clerke and Clement Clerke earlier today, but I wasn't sure. I thought Michael,  so I Googled Mighell and found this: https://forebears.io/surnames/mighell (I know it says surnames, but surnames could be forenames too)

I have a will from an ancestor at a similar date with this name in it.  From other sources, the person has always been referred to as Michael.
