Africa records trying to trace my German family tree

Hi

I am trying to trace my German family tree in my father’s side.  My parents divorced when I was 3, so not a lot to go on.

His name was Mel Weimann and I believe he was born in South Africa to German parents.  My mother, Valerie Ann Higgs, was born in 3 May1937 and they were of a similar age so somewhere around that date plus or minus 10 years.

They married in Northern Rhodesia in the late1950s, probably Ndola.  He lived in Lusaka most of his life after their divorce as far as I know and he remarried also in Ndola I think and had 4 children, I think 2 boys, 2 girls.

I can’t seem to find anything about him.
