Looking for help with Isaac Robinson & Elizabeth Robinson (Bonnett)
« on: Monday 08 April 19 11:38 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have been researching this branch of my family tree, and I am struggling to find burial records for either Isaac Robinson (born 1838) who died in 1909 and Elizabeth Robinson (born Bonnett in 1855).

The last information i have is a 1909 death index for Isaac, for the Caistor region, I am currently combing through the parish burial records for all the churches in the area he lived near Middle Rasen.

I know Elizabeth was alive for the 1911 census, she was in Market Rasen with her son, but I have no death index for her, It may be she remarried so I'm going to go down that path at some point.

If anyone is researching this family and you want to get in touch, I would love to chat and see if you could help.

I'm related in line through their son George.

David

Isaac Robinson
Age   71
Death 09 Aug 1909
Buried   Old Cemetery, Legsby Road, Market Rasen
Reference   B212

There is an Elizabeth Robinson who died 13 Apr 1924 buried in same cemetery - index gives her reference as B22 - headstone notes 'Wife'.  I wonder if she is Isaacs wife and one of the 2 references is wrong

Hi Rosie,

That would almost certainly be the Isaac I've been looking for.  Could I ask where you found the information, save me asking the same question for anyone else I need.

FindMyPast has Memorial inscriptions index for Market Rasen  :)

Perhaps Elizabeth was living with her son when she died so the death is not registered in Caistor reg district though she was buried with her husband

I'm still looking for an Elizabeth Robinson who died after 1911, probably in Market Rasen.  The one mentioned above is not the one we are looking for unfortunately.

the Isaac was correct,  if anyone looks and they think they may know or are related please get in touch.

You are right, the one I found at Market Rasen is wife of Jonah.  It does not look as though your Elizabeth is mentioned on her husbands gravestone

We visited last week, and I think the gravestone is covered in Holly, I'm going to try and find out if I can remove the holly, so I can see the graves, otherwise I'm not even really sure which is isaac's, hopefully there will be more of an inscription there, a faint hope I know.
