Do you think theres a chance that he could have been at some point or another in both the Horse Transport and the Mechanical Transport divisions?

It's possible. Farm labourer before the war, bus driver after? If he learned to drive a lorry in the army, that would explain the change of career.

Though that appears to be just the Mechanical Transport Company - perhaps there were other units in 46 RP.

He is indeed in here, now I just need to work out what it alllll syas hahaha. Thanks to you I now know what division my Grandfather served in, which my family never knew. And once we decipher this diary we will have a better idea of his movements in the War.

Ive spotted him once more in there. I can't really read it properly, but looks like it may be saying that he along with 2 others were appointed as Acting Corporals??

Also, yes I think you are right. I found another War Diary that had been transcribed from Canada, and they abbreviate I.C.F.A as Indian Corps Field Ambulance too.
