Best Family Tree Software
« on: Tuesday 09 April 19 16:54 BST (UK) »
I am looking for peoples views on which is the best or really good software for doing family trees. I have done a few for family and friends and it usually ends up as a piece of paper with my terrible scrawl on it so I was thinking about looking at some software that I could use to store multiple trees. I would also want to be able to print of some of these and make them look nice if possible.

All advice appreciated

You'll get some ideas on this board: https://www.rootschat.com/forum/fh-programs-organisation-presentation/

I also find the this site quite helpful: http://www.gensoftreviews.com/
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

If I understand you are looking for a program to draw family tree charts rather than a database to manipulate and store family history information.

If that is correct I would suggest you look at TreeDraw by SpanSoft http://treedraw.spansoft.org/

It is in my opinion the best charting software available anywhere.
