Looking at the passenger list......

If one looks at the previous page, there is a list of entirely different names but the same occupations as shown for the passengers on the page with the sisters. I think the line down the middle might be a tear in the page the sisters are on and 1/2 of their page is missing.

Also on the same ticket as the sisters is one William Moore. He would have been a returning Canadian as he is down as having been in Ottawa from 1909-1913. Assuming this the same William that Emily married, they perhaps became acquainted when he returned to England for a visit.

Added: the ship they travelled on actually landed at St John New Brunswick. They would have travelled inland by train from there.

Interesting stuff thank you, all this Canadian connection is very new to me,  is it possible to find the relationship between the 2 husbands William and Arthur?  Thank you for all replies so far, very grateful- Richard

William and Albert were brothers. Albert's marriage cert is available through familysearch or ancestry. It gives his parents as Thomas Moore and Charlotte Arnold as does the record for William.

Minnie who was their sister always told my mother that the family was very poor, how would they have afforded the fare on board the Royal Edward, was there a drive for immigration in Canada at the time or would there be jobs to go to
