Visiting Helensburgh Cemetery
« on: Wednesday 10 April 19 11:10 BST (UK) »
My relation was buried in Helensburgh Cemetery on 1st January 1900 (he died on the 29th November 1899)
His surname was Schnake and he was owner of the Imperial Hotel in West Clyde Street.

Would there be a standing stone as I would really like to visit his grave?

Best wishes

Iain Watson

Hotelier. Died unmarried, aged 42. One of three brothers who owned and worked in the hotel business in the west of Scotland, late 19th., early 20th. century.

Janie Rae was daughter of brother Hermann and wife Jane Rae. She could have been buried maybe with her uncle?

Yes that's what I was thinking Monica ....I know there was not a lot of  burial records available for that time of year ..So hopefully there might be a grave stone
