St Denis ( and St Mary) is Manchester Cathedral.
Prior to the many churches built in the 19C there were relatively few Parish churches,so The Cathedral was the Parish church for most people.
Often as with Baptisms many marriages took place at one time.

Thanks, yes all the marriages I have found for this family were there.  Maybe a good place to assume for the marriages I haven't found.

Try to google Doctor Gauter’s  report.
It mainly concerns Angel Meadow, but that is on the West side of Central Manchester.
Rochdale Rd and then Oldham Rd and you get to the area where Prussia St is situated,or was.Ancoats/ Miles Platting.
Beswick St is further East ,near Ashton New Road.Beswick area.
All were very poor areas without any sanitation or clean drinking water.
There is a dedicated section at Manchester  Central Library to The Cholera epidemics..
Also John Ryland’s Library.
Do let us know if you find out what you want.
Viktoria.

I walked around John Ryland's Library once, the place is magnificent yet welcoming.

Thanks, I was just searching for that.

I know the November 22nd 1846 marriage is correct as Henry Greenwood died at Henry Street in early 1847, from his death certificate, and his grandson Hiram Greenwood (Thomas' son, my ancestor) was born at Henry Street in September 1846, from his birth certificate.

I think I found William Casson on the 1851 census, born about 1827, Stockport, Cheshire, just with his wife Sarah and no children mentioned.

Thanks for that information.  I am going to do some work with maps and all these addresses.
