Looking for Quin Parish Townlands
« on: Wednesday 10 April 19 14:04 BST (UK) »
Hi, I'm tring to locate the two townlands in Quin listed on the attached Marriage Record.
Here is a link to the full document:

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1873/11266/8208588.pdf

I do believe the top Townland is Derrymore, but I cant make out the second word.
The second I am seeing Carhuroe, I wonder if that could be Carrowroe..
I can see from townland maps that Derrymore west and Carrowroe townland are next to eack other..

What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance
Co Clare - Corry, Duggan, Hogan, Linnane, Madden, Molony, Noonan
Co Tipperary - Dorgan/Dargan/Durgan, Jones
Llanelly - Davis, Evans, Peregrine
Sussex - Fermor, Martin

From the list on John Grenham's site that Hallmark posted, I'd say that Carrowroe comes the closest by far. It's probably just a different spelling that changed over time or became more Anglicized.
