War diary entry. Arthur Gardiner. Maybe a promotion?
« on: Thursday 11 April 19 12:43 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I believe this entry from a war diary to be reporting a promotion for my Great Grandfather Arthur Gardiner. I believe this to be the case from help I received already on this forum. However I am having trouble reading the ranks.

I believ it to say

T/044853 A/BLANK Arthur Gardiner to A/BLANK (P)

So he was promoted from one Acting Rank to another. and I think the 'P' stands for Paid, as somebody kindly told me yesterday.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated

Shaun
