There is an Alt Road in Bootle so I am wondering if it says 'Royal Infirmary (of 100 Alt St)'.

I agree with Royal Infirmary (Infy) but I think his home address is 100 Alt Street - notice that the 't' on 'St'  isn't crossed either.

There is an Alt St in Liverpool. It's in Toxteth, L8 2UF. I assume that's where the burial register is from (Scotland Rd lower down being a give-away). Poor lad (all of 18) is in Public Grave 274.

Any help?

Agree on looking at it again that it is definitely Alt Street
